N600m Building by Gani
He will never sit in the building. What a shame. He built it at such a huge cost to advance the study of law in the country and he will not be there for its commissioning. That's life for you. Look at what some have done with their money (even the ones they stole). Built mansion outside the country, buy aeroplane that they will use only once a year. How selfish. And yet here was a man who cared more about his fellow human being than for himself.
Gani, Adieu. May your soul rest in peace.

Gani Fawehinmi Passes on.
One of the greatest Human right activist in Nigeria has passed on. He died in the early hours of Saturday, 5th August 2009 at the age of 71. Gani will be well remembered by the low class and common man in Nigeira.
During his life time, he engaged the government of Nigeria in hot lawsuit against injustice to the people. One of his celebrated case is the one where he accused the Military Government of Babangida for killing the renowned journalist - Dele Giwa. Till his death, the case was never concluded.
Surprisingly enough, many believed that the ailment which eventually killed the man was contracted during one of his incarceration by the Babangida administiration.
May his soul rest rest.
